Nearly 40 people, including 17 policemen, were injured when supporters of FK Sarajevo clashed with police after their team a drew 1-all against Siroki Brijeg on Wednesday night.
Supporters of the Bosnian capital club had hoped a victory in order to commemorate the death of an Ultra after the first leg in Siroki Brijeg. However when their team disappointed the fans went on the rampage, with local reports detailing how the fans charged at their management and players shouting “You have betrayed us!”
When the fans stormed the pitch the players had just enough time to scamper down the tunnel to safety. However that did little to quell the mob, who quickly turned their attentions on the security and stewards in the ground. Fights began popping up all over the ground, with supporters using weapons as they went mad.
