Demba Ba gives his first interview as a Chelsea player

Friday witnessed Chelsea sign Senegalese striker Demba Ba in a £7.5m move. Now vying for a starting berth with £50m man Fernando Torres, Ba is looking forward to being around a higher class of players. He said ‘It will be easier with world-class players around, who make the football look so easy.’

Hitman Demba Ba signed a £75,000-a-week contract at Stamford Bridge and found it wasn’t a difficult decision, ‘When the club who won the Champions League wants you, the decision making is very easy. This club is massive and that helped the decision a lot. It was not a hard one.’

Chelsea fans will be looking forward to Fernando Torres having to fight for his place in the first team. Something he hasn’t done since Chelsea legend Didier Drogba left in the summer.
