There was so much needle before, during and after Tottenham’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Saturday.
Before the match almost all the chatter was about Andre Villas-Boas’ relationship with Jose Mourinho.
During the Premier League clash, Jan Vertonghen’s running battle with Fernando Torres dominated proceedings with El Nino eventually sent off.
And finally, after Chelsea had bagged a 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane, John Terry had a little dig at the Spurs supporters.
So, kudos to David Luiz for reminding us what football can be about – friendship – even if your Brazilian national team mate plays for the opposition in a fiercely contested London derby.
After the game, David Luiz took to Instagram and posted a couple of post game pictures with his arm round Paulinho and the following message:
“This is football! Was so nice to play against you bro @paulinhop8 ! Isto é futebol! Foi mto legal jogar contra vc irmão! #geezer #cfc”
