Wednesday was a difficult day for Crystal Palace both on and off the field.
Away from the pitch, news leaked out that Cardiff have decided to take the Eagles to court after the South London side was found guilty of breaching the Premier League rulebook over allegations they got hold Cardiff’s teamsheet before the permitted time during last season’s Premier League campaign.
Moreover, Cardiff owner Vincent Tan was rumoured to have tanked Malky Mackay’s appointment as the new Crystal Palace manager, by sending a dossier of Mackay’s alleged wrongdoing at Cardiff to Selhurst Park.
If that wasn’t enough, Palace’s under-21s lost 2-1 to Sheffield Wednesday, however the silver lining of the day came from the boot of Mandela Egbo.
Egbo scored Palace’s only goal against the Owls with a 30-yard thunderbastard that ripped into the net. The midfielder later posted the video of his goal onto Instagram.
