Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo breaks Champions League record, scoring 9 group stage goals, should have been 10!

Another game, another Cristiano Ronaldo record to add to the collection.

CR7 scored his 9th Champions League group phase goal in Los Blancos 2-0 win at GC Copenhagen tonight, a feat never before achieved.

But it really should have been 10.

C-Ron missed a penalty later on, somewhat taking the gloss off his performance, but that does nothing to take away from this brilliant record.

9 goals from the first 6 games sets Ronaldo up wonderfully to finish tournament top scorer, and this record is another coup in his final Ballon D’Or push.

Watch Cristiano’s record breaking goal on the first clip below, and his rubbish penalty miss on the second, which would have taken him to 10 goals.
