AC Milan have said ciao to striker Stephan El Shaarawy after the Italy international completed his loan move to Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.
Nicknamed ‘the Pharaoh’, El Shaarawy went to Milan in a big money transfer from Genoa as a 19-year-old back in 2011.
After a promising first year at the San Siro, El Shaarawy had a breakthrough 2012-2013, scoring 19 goals and looking every inch the player Milan fans thought he would become.
However, the attacker has been plagued by persistent injuries ever since, making only 28 appearances over the following two seasons.
