Chelsea are busy finalizing their loan deal for Radamel Falcao, and they’ve come up with a plan to avoid paying Monaco a loan fee.
On top of paying a loan player’s wages, a club will generally have to pay a small loan fee on top of this, and Chelsea would rather avoid incurring any extra cost on the striker – which given how poorly Falcao played at the Copa America, is perfectly understandable.
In order to do so, they’re going to send three young players in the other direction, on loan to Monaco, according to the Mirror.
The three young players have yet to be decided upon, and the Mirror claim that Isaiah Brown, Nathan Ake and Andreas Christiansen are the prime candidates.
So it looks as though Chelsea are still ready to go ahead with the temporary deal for El Tigre, despite his nightmare Copa America, where he had just one shot on target in three games, before being dropped to the bench for last night’s quarter final defeat to Argentina.
