Chelsea have made an official offer for Sporting Lisbon attacker Bruma, according to a report in Portuguese paper A Bola today.
Reports emerged in England over the weekend that Jose Mourinho was eager to bring one of the stars of the ongoing Under-20 World Cup to Stamford Bridge.
Bruma has been compared to compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo as both have come through the ranks at Sporting Lisbon.
Chelsea are keen to wrap up the signing of Bruma as quickly as possible and hope a 15 million euro offer will be enough to convince the cash strapped Portuguese side.
The proposal came via Super Agent Pini Zahavi, which has come as a surprise at Sporting, since the Israeli is not held in high regard there but is known to be close to Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
Sporting are hopeful that Bruma will sign a new contract until 2018 but if the young attacker impresses again at the Under-20 World Cup, there will likely be even more suitors.
The 18-year-old attacker can play all across the front line and would be a very exciting player for Chelsea should they win the chase for a forward that is also attracting interest from fellow English clubs Manchester United and Manchester City.
All eyes, including presumably from the Chelsea scouts, will be on Bruma for Portugal U20s last 16 clash with Ghana on Wednesday.
