Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho ironically says ‘all is mind games’ in pre-Newcastle presser

With Jose Mourinho taking every opportunity available to play down Chelsea’s chances of winning the league title this season (‘we are the little horse’), the Portuguese coach is being accused of playing blatant and silly mind games.

Chelsea clearly have just as good a chance as Arsenal at this stage of the season, so his suggestion that Chelsea should just feel honoured to be in this strong position reeks of mind games, as the journos pointed out to him today at his pre-Newcastle presser.

Mourinho then met fire with fire, ironically holding up his hands to say that ‘everything I say and do is mind games….all is mind games….all is mind games…except the results, they don’t lie’.

The hacks lapped up Mourinho’s self-deprecation, which conveniently allowed him to actually avoid answering the question – is it mind games or ain’t it?
