Despite his recent excellent form, Diego Costa did not make the matchday squad for Chelsea in their 1-1 draw with Stoke on Saturday.
Ahead of the Stoke clash, Guus Hiddink confirmed that the Spanish (Brazilian-born) striker missed out due to a minor tendon injury.
Whilst Bertrand Traore scored a terrific goal, Chelsea’s striking options, which also include Loic Remy and Alexandre Pato, are not those that will strike fear into the likes of Thiago Silva and David Luiz.
On Sunday morning, Chelsea took to Instagram and confirmed Costa would be fit for the second leg against PSG at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Chelsea host PSG in the Champions League second leg, with a 2-1 deficit from the first game in Paris.
