Calum Chambers gave his first interview on signing for Arsenal and seemed delighted with his move from Southampton.
The versatile defensive player said it was “amazing” to join Arsenal and paid tribute to Arsene Wenger and the fact young players do get opportunities at the Emirates.
Chambers comes across as a grounded 19-year-old, simply enjoying a big money move that makes him Arsenal’s third most expensive player after Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
Wenger has spoken of Chambers as a player that can appear at right back, centre back and in midfield.
Reports suggest Chambers has been guaranteed around 20 matches in the Arsenal first team this season.
