British PM Gordon Brown defends having the taxpayer pay his Sky Sports subscription

Unless you have had your head buried in the sand for the past month or so, you cannot have avoided the scandal sweeping through British politics in which members of Parliament are being forced to justify their massive claims for business expenses, which many have seen as MPs unfairly creaming money off the taxpayer.

Yesterday, during a question and answer session with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, the focus centred at the main at the top of the British political system. As such, the PM was forced to justify why he claimed his Sky Sports subscription as a business expense and how this is a correct use of the public funds.

Evasive, Gordon Brown refused to be drawn on specifics as he mumbled his way out of the spotlight.
