Brazil manager Dunga is set to spring a major surprise when he announces his full Brazil squad to face Argentina and Japan in their upcoming friendlies, by recalling Kaka’/
32 year old Kaka’ hasn’t appeared for Brazil since 2013, was exluded from the World Cup squad, and looked for all the world to be finished with the Canarinha.
But Dunga, who relied heavily on Kaka’ during the 2010 World Cup. has rewarded his good form for Sao Paulo by giving him a recall.
It’s surprising to say the least: Dunga’s appointment was supposed to signal a sort of revolution, after the team imploded on home soil at the World Cup.
Bringing Kaka’ back doesn’t exactly represent change or future, and Brazilian journalist Mauro Cezar has called the decision ‘a complete joke’ and ‘absurd’.
‘If any other player with Kaka’s age, but without his profile, had hit a similar vein of form, he’d never have been called; Kaka’s been called because he’s that nice guy, who everybody loves’.
To make matters worse, Kaka’s is only on loan at Sau Paulo, waiting to join up with nascent MLS franchise Orlando in 2015.
If Kaka’ can be called up, then why not Ronaldinho?
