The Sunday Times have dropped a bombshell for Manchester City fans and most Fantasy Premier League managers, as the extent of Sergio Aguero’s injury timetable has been revealed.
Just before the international break, Aguero hit the headlines after the Argentine striker scored five goals in a 6-1 win over Newcastle.
That incredible performance provoked over 130,000 Fantasy Premier League managers to draft Kun into their team, however all those transfers have now been rendered redundant after Aguero received a serious injury playing for the Abliceleste.
Aguero was stretchered off during Argentina’s match against Ecuador on Thursday evening, and it’s now been revealed by the Sunday Times that the forward will be out for eight weeks.
That’s a major setback for Aguero, who believed he’d only be on the sidelines for four weeks last Friday.
The Times report that the forward has “suffered a grade-two tear of a muscle in his thigh”.
Aguero is now set to miss matches in the Champions League against Sevilla and Juventus, as well as huge Premier League games against Man United and Liverpool.
