The 32 year old lifelong Liverpool fan will join for a reported £4m fee and will provide a different option to Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge.
The transfer seemed to come out of nowhere and there was mixed reaction from fans on Twitter, with most pleased with the fairytale story.

Think Lambert will be a good signing for #LFC. Watched him since he was at Rochdale, never doubted he had the talent and ability.

The signing of Lambert is fairytale stuff. Scouser and life-long #lfc fan; dropped by the club at age 15 and now signs age 32. Great stuff.
