Bayern Munich troll Spurs over Champions League heartbreak on Twitter

Bayern Munich last night came so close to breaking Tottenham’s record, drawing 0-0 away at Eintracht Frankfurt to end their 100% record to the season.

The Bavarian giants won each of their opening 10 games of the season but couldn’t match the record set by Spurs in 1961, whereby they won all of their first 11 games of the season.

Tottenham’s official Twitter account celebrated Bayern’s 0-0 draw on Twitter, wishing the German champions “better luck next year”.

Bayern’s Twitter account responded brutally, reminding Spurs of their 2012 Champions League heartbreak.

Tottenham managed to finish in the top 4 that season but were relegated to the Europa League because Chelsea managed to beat Bayern Munich in the final.

Despite their draw last night, top-of-the-table Bayern still hold a comfortable lead over 2nd placed Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
