Bayern move for Arsenal target Julian Draxler offering Schalke pay payment now, player to arrive in 2015

Jan Aage Fjortoft, the former Norwegian international who famously once played for Swindon Town, has taken to Twitter on Monday to give his updates in the Julian Draxler saga.

Despite reports in England on Monday linking Manchester United with a move for the 20-year-old German attacking midfielder, the two main protagonists in the race for the Schalke starlet seems to be Arsenal and Bayern Munich.

According to Fjortoft the Bavarians are now getting ready to table a fresh deal to Schalke.

With Schalke well-known to want to hold onto the star for as long as possible, Fjortoft has been told that Bayern are prepared to do a deal today in which they make part payment for the Nationelf star, however Draxler will remain at Schalke until 2015.

How Arsenal would respond to such an offer remains anyone’s guess.

Fjortoft also reported that, to the best of his knowledge, the player himself has yet to decide which club should be his next employer.
