The rumours have been rife for some time – now it appears that Barcelona will finally make a move for Brazil defender Thiago Silva, arguably the best centre back in world football.
Catalunya Radio suggest the first offer for Thiago Silva will be 32 million euros, which will likely fall some way short of what PSG value the Brazilian at.
Barcelona have already met with Thiago Silva’s agent and believe the starting offer of 32 million to be realistic.
However, PSG, who do not need the money, paid AC Milan 42 million euros for Thiago Silva just a year ago, and arguably his value has only increased after winning Ligue 1 and the Confederations Cup in 2012/2013.
Sport tip Barcelona to increase their offer and add on their front page story this Wednesday morning that Thiago Silva is eager to sign for the La Liga champions and join up with Brazil team mates Dani Alves and Neymar.
Meanwhile, Thiago Silva’s agent has also begun to pressure PSG to let his client leave Paris.
