Barça Beef Part II: Victor Valdes admonishes Xavi during Almeria win

Victor Valdes is in the form of his life, yet is becoming a rather angry figure on the pitch.

During the midweek win over Real Sociedad, Valdes pointed the finger at Gerard Pique which included a big fat ‘fuck you’ V-sign at his team mate.

On Saturday afternoon, Valdes was again irate, this time towards the tracking back of playmaker Xavi.

The discussion came during the latter stages of Barcelona’s 2-0 win over Almeria, with the Catalans in control of the La Liga match.

Predictably, the Madrid press have highlighted this spat whilst Barcelona played it down after yet another La Liga away win.

After the game, Xavi told the press that “Victor is like a brother to me” whilst sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta said “these things happen during matches.”

With Valdes playing brilliantly and set to leave for Monaco in the summer, it does feel the Barcelona number one could well be taking out his frustrations on two of his long-term team mates in Pique and Xavi.

The Valdes-Xavi spat is below, followed by Sky Sports analysis of the Barcelona keeper’s season so far.
