What on earth is going on at Manchester United?
The Red Devils’ 2-1 defeat away at Bournemouth on Saturday night, summed up a truly awful week for Louis Van Gaal’s side, after their Champions League elimination in midweek.
United have now gone five games in all competitions without a victory, and the defeat at the Vitality Stadium last night, has led to an increase in pressure surrounding Louis Van Gaal’s future as United boss.
Whilst the Dutchman was quick to point to injuries as a reason for his side’s loss, other stats we have obtained via Opta suggests another reason for the Reds’ recent slump.
United have had just one second half shot on target in each of their last three Premier League games, which by any standard is totally unacceptable.
Man United’s striker’s must take a lot of the flack for this abysmal stat, but with Wayne Rooney injured and misfiring this season, Anthony Martial is the only available front man at Old Trafford.
United must look for a striker in the January transfer window.
Check out the stat below.
