Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has spoken to BeIn Sports ahead of France’s opening game at the World Cup against Honduras.
Wenger is typically analytical in his assessment of how Les Bleus will fare against Honduras – expecting Didier Deschamps’ side to emerge victorious.
And, Wenger comes out with a hugely sweeping statement towards the end of the interview:
“If France cannot beat Honduras, we should quit playing football.”
Perhaps the Arsenal manager has forgotten the World Cup of 2010?
Or, Wenger is simply being realistic about Honduras, who appear to be one of the weakest sides in the tournament.
A subsequent video below features the Arsenal manager talking about Holland’s 5-1 rout over Spain.
