Arsene Wenger admitted Arsenal had to work hard after the 1-0 win over Newcastle.
The French boss said “our legs were a bit tired” and “our fluency was not there… our movement was not there”.
Wenger also praised Petr Cech for a couple of big saves and for how he “gives calm and never panics and today we needed that”.
A journalist quickly asked Wenger whether Petr Cech is one of the best signings he has ever made.
To which the Arsenal boss answered: “I read more in the newspapers, most of the time, about the bad signings I’ve made, so I don’t know.”
