Arsenal suffer another Jack Wilshere injury setback

New Betfair customers only: 3/1 Arsenal to beat Bournemouth

The Gunners return to action today when they take on Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium, and once again Arsene Wenge’s side will be down to bare bones in midfield.

For much of the season, Arsenal have been without the services of Jack Wilshere, Francis Coquelin, Mikel Arteta, Tomas Rosicky and Santi Cazorla, and now more bad news have been delivered to Gunners fans.

Jack Wilshere, who has yet to feature this season, has now seen his comeback schedule pushed back. The 23-year-old won’t return to action until February at the earliest.

Arsene Wenger told the press:

He will not be back before February, that’s for sure. I said February but honestly I don’t know. I let him do his recovery. It’s going slowly.

In brighter news, Arsenal fans are still waiting to see if Mohamed Elneny joins their club from Basel.

Reports circulated on Sunday that the 23-year-old Egyptian midfielder had already completed his Arsenal medical ahead of a £6.5m move to the Emirates Stadium.

Moreover, Egyptian football website King Fut have confirmed that Elneny will sign for Arsenal on Wednesday.
