Arsenal plan shock £42million January move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang [Sun]

Don’t you just love transfer window rumours?

The January window has only been opened a matter of hours, and already all sorts of stories seem to be ‘breaking’ with each rumour becoming more absurd as the one before it.

The latest transfer story from the Sun will certainly have everyone talking, though unfortunately for Arsenal fans that seems to be all it is at the moment, just talk.

According to the newspaper Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is planning shock £42million move for Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this month.

The report goes on to suggest that an intermediary is already talking to the Bundesliga side, on behalf of the North London side, and that the player himself has told people close to him that he wants to make the move to the Premier League.

Whilst the striker, who has scored a remarkable 24 goals in 23 appearances this season – would be a brilliant addition to Arsene Wenger’s title chasing side, there is nothing at the moment to suggest that any deal is close.

But of course anything can happen during transfer window season.
