Arsenal’s injury list continues to grow, although Theo Walcott and Serge Gnabry took a big step towards returning yesterday when they made their comeback in training.
34 year old Czech Republic captain Tomas Rosicky is the latest man to be hit by injury.
The veteran Arsenal midfielder picked up a knock in the match against Turkey on Friday night and missed out on the win in Kazakhstan last night.
Speaking after the game, Rosicky said “I couldn’t do any sharp movement, couldn’t sprint. If I tried to play in one tempo, I wouldn’t make any difference for the team.”
“I’ll come back to London and we’ll see. The doctor said I have something swollen between the muscles.”
The Czech midfielder has only played 19 minutes of Premier League football so far this season.
