Arabian Business.com claim the Kaka deal is already off

ArabianBusiness.com, the website which broke the news of the Abu Dhabi takeover and Amr Zaki’s loan-move to Wigan and is seen as a leading source of information for Middle Eastern business news, are today reporting that Manchester City have taken their $150 million bid for Kaka off the table.

According to journalist Anil Bhoyrul, a “well-placed source, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told Arabian Business: ‘The deal is off, and the offer is no longer on the table. The club is now pursuing another striker which it is very close to signing. Manchester City is about to unveil a new striker, but he is not called Kaka… They won’t be getting any money from Manchester City; the club is now talking to someone else and the offer is not there anymore.”
