Animal rights groups in Egypt protest against Al Ahly for killing up to 100 cats (Video)

Egyptian club Al Ahly are facing potential legal action after the club reportedly killed up to 100 cats.

As reported by the Egyptian Independent, the club stand accused of killing stray cats that were in the vicinity of the club’s training ground.

According to the reports, Al Ahly acknowledge the fact that they poisoned all the animals, but the the club are defending themselves claiming the cats were disturbing restaurant diners at the club.

Social media has since been filled with pictures of dead cats as Al Ahly have been called out by animal rights activists.

Killing animals is criminal activity in Egypt.

Protests have since been held outside the Al Ahly facilities, and video from that events is below.
