Amaury Bischoff scores a cracker for Arsenal’s reserves at Fulham

With Arsene Wenger being subjected to a character assassination as pressure increases following the Gunners defeat to Stoke last weekend, the big black mark being attached to the Frenchman centres on his dealings in the transfer market.

Yet Arsenal fans will be happy to see that one of Wenger’s more low key signings, 21-year-old Amaury Bischoff who was signed from Werder Bremen in the summer, has laid claim to receiving his first appearance for the senior side by scoring a cracker against Fulham’s reserves on Monday night.

The Portuguese winger opened the scoring with a tremendous half-volley just before the break, lifting the ball over the advancing Fulham number 10, before blasting a swerving shot into the top corner that gave the keeper no chance.
