There were some suggestions that Brazilian forward Alexandre Pato would be part of Guus Hiddink’s squad for the trip to MK Dons in the FA cup on Sunday.
This has been ruled out by an Instagram picture and message on Sunday morning, that confirms Pato is still building up his fitness after joining Chelsea on Friday.
Pato can be seen in the Cobham changing rooms and confirms he is “Ready to train…”
Chelsea head to MK Dons in the fourth round of the FA Cup looking to win the competition again under Guus Hiddink.
Pato has not played since appearing for Sao Paulo at the beginning of December.
As a result, his involvement in Chelsea’s match against Watford at Vicarage Road on Wednesday also appears to be super unlikely.
Chelsea host Manchester United and Newcastle at Stamford Bridge before their Champions League tie against PSG in mid-February.
