On Wednesday evening Russian media was reporting that Manchester United and Tottenham are in contact with Dynamo Moscow over the possible transfer of 24-year-old striker Aleksandr Kokorin.
Tass claim they spoke to Kokorin’s agent, who believes there is a good chance that his client would move to either Manchester United or Tottenham by the end of the transfer window.
Zenit St. Petersburg had previously been heavily linked to the striker and it is plausible that the player’s agent is inventing the interest in order to force Zenit’s hand.
However, it is no secret that both Manchester United and Tottenham are looking to bolster their attacking options with the Reds today missing out on Pedro Rodriguez to rivals Chelsea.
Aleksandr Kokorin – considered Dynamo Moscow’s main striker since breaking through as a striker – has never managed more than 10 league goals in a season.
It is reported that Dynamo Moscow would prefer to sell their main asset to a European club.
