Ronaldo hits hat-trick against Celta Vigo, Bernabeu sing: “Cristiano, Balón de Oro”

So far in 2013: Lionel Messi has scored 1 goal, Cristiano Ronaldo has already notched 5. The goal race in 2013 could be epic!

Cristiano Ronaldo was afforded a standing ovation by the Bernabeu on Wednesday night as Cristiano Ronaldo destroyed Celta Vigo with a hat-trick and an assist.

CR7 opened the scoring with a terrific strike and could well have had four goals but for a wrongly called offside goal in the first half.

It was as if the frustrations of missing out on another Ballon d’Or to Lionel Messi was released with a stunning display.

And, you have to feel sorry for Ronaldo, his stats are remarkable. If it wasn’t for Messi, we would be stunned by the form of the Portuguese forward.

Ronaldo has claimed 28 goals for Real Madrid this season: 16 in La Liga, 6 in the Champions League, 4 in the Copa del Rey and 2 in the Spanish Super Cup.

And, most impressively, Ronaldo sits on 175 goals in 173 matches for Real Madrid.

After the hat-trick was completed, the Bernabeu rose as one to hail Cristiano Ronaldo, singing “Cristiano, Balón de Oro” – which can be seen on the first video below.

The second video is every Ronaldo touch against Celta Vigo in one of the most impressive displays so far this season.
