A rubbish keeper performance you won’t have seen: Arna Lind Kristinsdottir (Iceland U17 Women) v Spain

To be honest, we paid little attention to the Under-17 Women’s European Championships until this special video came along.

Last Thursday Iceland took on eventual winners Spain in the semi-finals, in a game they would lose 4-0, with keeper Arna Lind Kristinsdottir having 90 minutes to forget.

Kristinsdottir managed to spill a simple lobbed speculative effort from Marina Garcia for the opener and for the third she palmed a soft free-kick into her own net from Alexia Putellas.

The Iceland number 12 saved the best for last with an epic FAIL for the fourth. Spilling the softest of shots from a Spanish forward and causing a woeful own goal from Glodís Perla Viggosdottir.

Iceland Under-17s keeper was then dropped for the third-placed play-off and can console herself with the fact that she missed an 8-2 defeat to Germany.

Arna Lind Kristinsdottir’s horror show can be seen here.
