Reviewing the goals from the second division in Germany, as you do, we came across a stunning lob from Rot-Weiss Oberhausen’s striker Mike Terranova scored at the weekend during their visit to Greuther Furth.
We pick up the action in the 13th minute with the score still goalless.
Oberhausen’s keeper Christoph Semmler punted to ball all the way down-field as he looked to help start a fresh attack for the visitors. And, with neither player from either side managing to attack the ball before the hoofed kick hit the ground, the ball the bounced it’s way through to Mike Terranova 35-yards away from goal.
Despite two Furth defenders being in close proximity, Terranova’s thought-process was lightening fast and direct, the striker opting to smack the ball first-time to spectacular ends leaving the stranded keeper standing helpless as the shot sailed over his head.
