Over in Iran this week a massive match took place in the Tehran derby as local powerhouses Persepolis and Esteghlal faced off in not only a battle for bragging rights, but more importantly in battle for the crucial third place and qualification to the Asian Champions League.
The match started well for the visitors as Farhad Majidi scored after 15 minutes, but Persepolis headed into the break on an even-keel as Hadi Norouzi hit the leveller.
The moment of the game arrived four minutes from time as veteran Karim Bagheri stole the headlines with an absolute belter. Picking up the ball 40-yards from goal, the number six took just one touch to steady himself before letting rip with a bullet that whizzed into the top corner past goalkeeper Vahid Taleblou.
