2 Good 2 Bad Special: Lee Dixon (ex-Arsenal) talks about man-love & crying on the pitch

With one month to go before Christmas, retailers are working overtime to try to promote and sell their stock before the holiday season ends.

With that in mind we received a nice email from people behind the BBC’s new “2 Good 2 Bad – The World Cup” DVD in which they directed us to a couple of clips of Adrian Chiles interviewing former Arsenal defender Lee Dixon on some less talked about subject in football. The two topics up for debate where those of man-love on a football pitch, and Dixon’s memories of crying on a football pitch.

On teammates kissing, Dixon chirped “it’s not right. I’ve had to fend a few off in my time… Wrighty used to like a peck here and there.” Poor Ian Wright was again name-dropped when discussing weeping on the pitch, with Dixon recanting how the pair always used to set each other off on emotional occasions before the former full-back recalled how he found himself crying before the fulltime whistle had blown during the Gunners’ famous last-gasp title win back in 1989.

The two clips can be seen here and here.

While we were grateful for the tip off to these videos, the email unsurprisingly forgot to direct us to host Adrian Chiles’ faux pas at the end of last week’s MOTD2 show, where the presenter was heard swearing as the final credits were playing out.

Advising you to crane your ear, the footage can be seen here.
