It’s been a perfect week for Newcastle United, so far, so can they tighten their grip on third place?
Last Sunday, the Magpies leapfrogged Manchester United by beating them 2-0 at St James’ Park, and deservedly so.
Then, on Wednesday night, Newcastle smashed West Ham 5-1 at the London Stadium, scoring 5+ in a top-flight away game for the first time since September 1998 against Coventry.

Back at home, Thomas Frank’s team have lost just once all season, this against league-leaders Arsenal in September, form that leaves Brentford ninth, very much in the hunt for Europe.

At right-back, Aaron Hickey is set to return after Mads Roerslev was given the nod on Wednesday.
