It’s winner takes all in Carson, with only one of these MLS teams able to reach the round of 32.

Five days later, it was LA Galaxy’s turn to take on the CONCACAF Champions League winners, with León rubber stamping top spot, courtesy of a 1-0 victory in California.

So, these two are now fighting it out for second and, should it end in a draw, a penalty shootout would decide who advances.

The Caps beat the Galaxy 4-2 as recently as 15 July, but LA do have home advantage this time at Dignity Health Sports Park.
