Man United edge past Palace

It took until the 88th minute but Manchester United just managed to edge past Crystal Palace tonight, beating them 2-1 at Selhurst Park.

They had started the game brightly and took the lead just before the half-time break.

Paul Pogba managing to get on the end of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s header from a free-kick in first-half stoppage time.

However, they were then pegged back in the 66th minute as James McArthur rounded off a nice Crystal Palace move to draw the game level.

As the game then progressed into the later stages of the match it looked as if it would end one a piece but for Zlatan’s late goal which sealed a win for Jose Mourinho’s side.

Zlatan jokes about MOTM award

After the match, Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic spoke about their sides performance.

They admitted that they had a tough game tonight but were happy to get the result in the end.

The reporter then asked Zlatan to pass Pogba the Man of the Match award for his performance, prompting the Swede to joke about keeping it for himself.
