Brentford goalkeeper David Button may well have pulled off the save of the season in The Championship.

In fact, Button’s glorious reaction stop at Preston may go down as the save of the season, in any league in Europe.

Brentford won the match at Preston 3-1 thanks to goals from Gregory Cunningham (own goal), Alan Judge and Jon Swift.

Preston had briefly brought it back to 1-1 through Adam Reach.

The Button save came from a deflected effort after a sustained spell of pressure from Preston.

Button, formerly of Spurs, has emerged as a fine goalkeeper at Brentford in recent seasons and at 26 could well be a custodian to keep an eye on.
