Barcelona v Man City, Pep comes home

Barcelona host Manchester City in the Champions League tomorrow, with Pep Guardiola coming back to face his boyhood club, with whom he won it all as both player and manager.

This isn’t the first time Pep has faced his former club; he also took on Barcelona as Bayern Munich manager in the 2015 Champions League semi-final.

Pep came out the loser that time, and he’ll be hoping he can get revenge tomorrow.

Guardiola denies trying to sign several Barcelona players

There was a surprising bit of tension at his press conference today, as Pep was forced to vehemently deny that he’d tried to sign several Barcelona players last summer.

Pep named Suarez, Messi, Busquets and Iniesta as the players he’d been reported as trying to sign, and the Man City manager seemed particularly riled by the accusation, and was very keen to get things crystal clear.
