Pochettino happy with point
Tottenham drew their third Champions League game of this season, 0-0, with Bayer Leverkusen.
Despite stating before the game that this was a ‘must win fixture’ for Spurs, Mauricio Pochettino said he is happy with a point from tonight’s game.
The Argentine manager stated that his side played well in the first half but did admit that Leverkusen were on top for much of the second half tonight.
Pochettino said that Leverkusen created more chances than his side after the break and that Spurs lost control of the ball too.
However, he did stated that Tottenham’s life in the Champions League is still in their hands at this stage.
Pochettino explains midfield changes
Pochettino was then asked why he brought on Sissoko and Dembele during the match.
The Spurs boss answered that the change was to freshen things up in midfield and that these two players brought quality and power to Tottenham’s play.
He then reiterated that he was happy with the result as Leverkusen deserved more than Spurs did, in the second half of the match.
