David Silva fires City in front
Manchester City led Steaua Bucharest 2-0 in Romania at half-time of their Champions League qualifier, thanks to a lovely goal featuring Raheem Sterling and David Silva.
Signed from Liverpool, the £50m winger had a difficult first season at the Etihad and struggled at Euro 2016 but looks like he could thrive under new manager Pep Guardiola.
Using all of his pace, 21-year-old Raheem Sterling nabbed the ball off the Steaua defender before executing a ‘Ronaldo Chop’ and teeing up David Silva to fire in the opener. Watch a video of the goal below.
Poor Sergio Aguero was taken apart on Twitter after missing two penalties within 13 minutes but he made amends with a fine goal on the stroke of half time.
