Liverpool & Champions League
Liverpool return to Champions League action in midweek when they head to Russia.
The Reds kicked off their campaign with a disappointing 2-2 home draw with Sevilla.
Spartak, meanwhile, were held to a 1-1 draw at Maribor in matchday one of the UCL.
That game in Slovenia was marred as Spartak fans throw a flare at the referee.
The missile luckily missed the official, while UEFA have since fined the Russians for the bad behaviour of their fans.
Tuesday match, however, remains open to fans from both clubs.
Spartak Moscow 2 – Anji Makhachkala 2
On Saturday Spartak warmed up for the Liverpool game with a poor result at home.
The Russian champions had to come from behind to draw 2-2 with Anji.
The visitors took the lead in the second half with a goal that will make Liverpool’s forward salivate.
Anji launched an end to end counter attack which would leave Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah licking their lips about facing Spartak.
