Leicester edge past Kobenhavn
Claudio Ranieri’s side managed to edge past Kobenhavn tonight, beating them 1-0.
They have been brilliant in the Champions League this season, winning all three games, and are still the only side in the competition to have not conceded a goal so far.
Tonight’s win came courtesy of a goal from Riyad Mahrez.
The Algerian winger has had a direct hand in 4 of Leicester’s 5 Champions League goals this season so far (3 goals, 1 assist).
Schmeichel pulls off incredible save
However, having said that, Leicester owe tonight’s win to their goalkeeper too.
Kasper Schmeichel pulled off an incredible save to keep his side in-front, in the dying minutes of the game.
The goalkeeper showed brilliant reflexes to react quickly to a close range shot, and in the end, made sure Leicester walked away with all three points.
