Jose Mourinho seriously short in presser after loss to Tottenham Hotspur

Not happy

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was fairly curt after seeing his side lose to Tottenham Hotspur in their last Premier League game at White Hart Lane.

The Red Devils boss has drilled it in to their fans that they simply have to focus on the Europa League, and has blamed everything from injuries, to a lack of commitment from the players and the atmosphere from the fans for the club seeing their results take a dip towards the end of the season.

After being beaten by Arsenal, Mourinho claimed the club were out of the race for the top four, and a lacklustre performance against Spurs showed that their eyes are firmly on the Europa League.

Mourinho once again moaned about a lack of time between matches, and said that the Europa League demands have affected his team selection for games including this one, and that’s negatively impacted results.

Europa League final

Of course, should United win the Europa League, Mourinho will point to his selections in the Premier League as something that have paid off, and something he had to do – and he may well be proven right.

However, should the injured and suspension hit United manage to lose the final, they could well find themselves out of the Europa League and looking at a below-par finish in the Premier League to boot.
