As Manchester United laboured to yet another goalless draw at home to West Ham on Saturday, some of Louis van Gaal’s transfer decisions were looking curious at best.
Whilst United were labouring to the 0-0 draw against The Hammers, both James Wilson and Javier Hernandez were scoring for their respective clubs.
The fact Chicharito scored again for Bayer Leverkusen should come as no surprise, after all The Mexican has been in great form in the Bundesliga over recent weeks.
But, the loan move of James Wilson is one that has bewildered United fans with only Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial available up front at Old Trafford currently.
Wilson just did not get a fair crack of the whip under Louis van Gaal despite consistently scoring goals in Manchester United youth sides.
Championship leaders Brighton fell 2-0 down to Charlton at home after just five minutes on Saturday.
But Wilson began the comeback five minutes after the break with an excellent solo goal, which saw him beat four defenders.
Chris Hughton’s Brighton would go on to win the game 3-2.

Whilst we were busy scrounging for a goal yesterday, our loan striker James Wilson was busy winning goal of the day pic.twitter.com/D4eyT2Yl8U

Nice to read that #JamesWilson scored yesterday, should not have loaned him out in my opinion….

James Wilson's goal yesterday shows what happens when you dont have LVG's strict pass pass pass rules on a player. Players need more freedom
