Lanus beat Banfield in the Argentine top flight on Saturday and the opening goal in the 2-0 win was quite extraordinary.
Lanus went five points clear in the Argentina Primera Division thanks to their win in the Clásico del Sur which all came about thanks to a stunning strike from Victor Ayala.
Ayala received a short free-kick and then, with the Banfield defence slow to come out, belted one home past goalkeeper Hilario Navarro.
On closer inspection, you will see that the ball spinned, moved and fizzed in the air, giving the Banfield custodian no chance at all.
Ayala had come on as a substitute and was his firs goal of the season. By this time, Lanus were down to 10 men and had also missed a penalty.
