Ousmane Dembele celebrates winner v England

All the goals as France defeat England 3-2

On a night where fans of both sides came together off the pitch to pay their respects to the victims of the UK terror attacks, an enthralling fixture was played out on the pitch between France and England at the Stade de France.

Exciting affair

5 goals were scored in total, with Les Bleus getting the better of their Three Lions counterparts on the night.

The first strike came after just 9 minutes, when Tottenham goal-machine Harry Kane slotted home a Ryan Bertrand cross following some excellent build-up play.

France pulled one back in the 22nd minute, as Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti smashed home the rebound following a Tom Heaton save.

It wasn’t long before the home side took the lead, with Monaco’s impressive full-back Djibril Sidibe slotting home from close range.

Second half

The second 45 resumed under hectic circumstances, with Raphael Varane unfortunate to be sent off for a coming together with Dele Alli in the French box.

A penalty was awarded, and Harry Kane dispatched it with aplomb.

However, the action was not finished there, with the 10 men of France looking dangerous on the counter-attack throughout the second-half.

And it was a French breakaway which eventually decided the game, with two of Les Bleus’ finest young talents combining to put England to the sword with a little over 10 minutes to go.
