Sunderland 1 – Cardiff 2
One of the biggest matches in the Championship on Saturday saw Cardiff City win 2-1 away at Sunderland.
The defeat was awful news for Sunderland, who remain in the bottom three of the division.
The Black Cats only have six points on the board after nine games.
As for Cardiff, they have the Premier League in their sights. The Welsh club are joint top of the Championship with Leeds and Wolves.
Sitting third on goal difference, Cardiff have 20 points in the bag already.
Craig Bryson put Cardiff ahead before Lynden Gooch’s penalty made it 1-1 on 53 minutes.
Joe Ralls won the match for the Bluebirds from the penalty spot.
‘Obscene’ decision v Sunderland
Cardiff City have uploaded highlights from the Sunderland game on their YouTube channel.
They’ve carved out one incident from the game for special attention.
Defender Sean Morrison was wrestled to the floor in the Sunderland box, but incredibly no decision was given.
The commentators on the video complained about the “obscene” call, claiming Morrison is teased for being the most hated player in the league.
