Barca win at Granada
Barcelona won 4-1 at Granada last night to keep their title hopes alive.
With Real Madrid beating Alaves earlier in the day, the Catalans knew they had to win in order to keep up the pressure on Los Blancos, ahead of the upcoming Clasico.
And they managed to get the win – without Leo Messi, who missed the game through suspension.
Luis Suarez and Neymar got the job done in Messi’s absence, while Paco Alcacer chipped in with a rare goal after coming on for the injured Rafinha.
Rakitic v Pereira
It was generally quite a clean game, but thanks to the up close Spanish TV cameras, we’re always treated to some choice words between players.
And things got pretty feisty between Ivan Rakitic and Granada’s Andreas Pereira.
Rakitic couldn’t believe it when the ref booked him, feeling that he’d been more sinned against than sinning, and let Pereira know his feelings in no uncertain terms.
‘Son of a bitch! To the second division with you, you’re getting relegated!’
